WISE (Women In Sports & Entertainment) Rebrand Proposal
Organization: WISE — Women in Sports and Events — is the leading voice and resource for women in the business of sports. The WISE mission is to empower women in the business of sports with the tools to reach their career goals.
Objective: After establishing a new chapter in Charlotte, NC, a leader on the board of directors wanted to explore WISE's brand identity. An approaching 25th anniversary came with an added opportunity to propose both an anniversary mark and new visual brand introduction.
Role: My role in this project was to create a visual brand refresh and proposal. This proposal honors the foundation of WISE by maintaining a rounded nature in the newly balanced character forms that make up the WISE wordmark. Customized characters provide a base for unique typography that can be carried out beyond the word mark and into other creative elements representing the brand. Icons often found in a sports team's playbook, transcend the brand's identity by representing the industry it aims to connect. Arrows driving the trajectory of icons, represent the strong team of women leading strategies for growth and success at WISE. Promoting a visual image of teamwork raises the importance of women working to help one another in this industry.
